Community Questions Answered
The Annual Electors Meeting held on 28 January was an opportunity for the community to ask questions of the Broome Shire Council. Ranging from the refurbishment of the Civic Centre to climate change, click here to view the questions asked and the answers provided.

Cable Beach Turtle Nesting Season October to February
To limit the impact of vehicles on nesting turtles in Broome, Cable Beach Amphitheatre vehicle access will be CLOSED at night to vehicles throughout the turtle nesting season from 8PM to 6AM 1 OCTOBER TO 28 FEBRUARY
Cable Beach will also be closed to vehicles two hours either side of the high tide when it is nine metres or greater.
A gate has been installed at the Cable Beach Amphitheatre and will be locked into place during the temporary closures. Amphitheatre vehicle access is permitted at all other times.
The Shire of Broome appreciates your cooperation in assisting to protect marine turtles on Cable Beach.
