 Cable Beach Access Ramp Temporary Closure Opera Under the Stars
The Cable Beach Access Ramp will be closed from 6.30pm this Friday 27 August until 6am on Sunday 29 August to allow for staging for Opera Under the Stars.

27 August 2010 - Staircase to the Moon, Shinju Matsuri Opening Ceremony
Robinson Street will be closed at Hopton Street from midday to allow for the Staircase to the Moon. The Town Beach car parks and boat ramp will be closed to public access from midday to 8.30pm. Alternative launching facilities are available at Catalina's and Entrance Point.

28 August 2010 - Rotary Dragon Boat Festival
The Town Beach Boat Ramp will be closed to allow for the staging of the Dragon Boat races at Town Beach.  Parking is limited during the event.  Alternative launching facilities are available at Catalina’s and Entrance Point

29 August 2010 - Shinju Masturi Float Parade Road Closures
A number of roads will be closed from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday 29 August for the Shinju Matsuri Float Parade on  Roads will be opened gradually as the parade progresses along the route.  Drivers are advised that delays of up to an hour may be experienced on affected streets.

Triple J and Classic FM Radio Station - Unscheduled Maintenance

Due to equipment malfunction Triple J and Classic FM radio stations will be off the air for a period of up to two weeks.

The Shire apologises for any inconvenience this may cause listeners and hope to have the service up and running again as soon as possible.

2010/11 Shire of Broome Community Sponsorship Program Now Open

The Shire of Broome will consider applications for funding and donations under the 2010/11 Community Sponsorship Program.

New Local Policy - Trading in Public Places

Notice is hereby given that the Shire of Broome has generated the new local policy, titled Trading in Public Places. The new policy is available for public comment and open for inspection at the Shire of Broome Administration office.

The proposed new policy will be open for inspection during normal office hours (8:00am to 4:00pm) from Friday 12 August 2010 up to and including Friday 15 October 2010. Copies can also be downloaded.

Submissions on the new policy may be made in writing and lodged to the Chief Executive Officer, PO Box 44, Broome WA 6725 before 16 October 2010.
